Hi — I'm Annette 👋

I founded adoption.com in 1995. The web was a different place — most of the search-engine industry didn't exist yet. I had to figure out what made pages rank by reading server logs and watching AltaVista send traffic. I've been doing the work that's now called SEO for over thirty years.

I sold adoption.com years later. Since then I've operated multi-domain content businesses across rescue (Bone Voyage Dog Rescue), relocation (AjijicRelocationGuide), and divorce recovery (Rebuilding Seminars). Every case study on this site is my own property. I rank what I own — then I do the same work for clients.

Why "Believer"?

Half the SEO world is convinced AI killed search. I disagree. AI changed the game — it didn't end it. Real fundamentals (crawlable sites, helpful content, authority signals, real expertise) still drive ranking. They drive AI citations too. I've watched my own properties keep winning while the doom crowd posts hot takes.

That's the believer part. SEO still works — for the people who do the work.
